We are in full winter fishing mode! streamer fishing is still holding strong as fish are still coming off their spawning cycle and looking for a big meal to replace energy after doing their thing! Productive nymphing methods and flies are constantly changing throughout a given day, surface temps of Bull Shoals lake and water generation through the dam are finally on the right cycle to create the perfect storm of a shad kill, but the egg bite gets turned on as you fish below a pair of spawning fish. Fishing is fixin' to get really fun here shortly as weather predictions and generation schedules just get better!
FLIES TO TRY
Streamers- Anything as long as you're getting DEEP! (Time to break out the lead) Ice packs at the end of the day may be crucial to longevity.
Nymphs- Shad patterns, eggs patterns, (san Juans/ wire worms are producing in the slow times)
